Hola! Konnichwa!
編集Welcome to jawikivoyage, my name is Omotecho.
Kinldy refer to Help_for_Non-Japanese_Speakers if anything is unclear to you. I'd be honored to guide you to pages or to interpret between your questions and those who knows the solution here on ja wikivoyage, or in short jawv.
I have noticed you You have contributed a page for Melilla: latest on T17:10:11, 29th, November 2024 (UTC). Wonderful you intrduce ja readers to this beautiful desitination. Arigatow gozaimasu.
That said, I wish you would answer my question: Do you agree you are who contributed on Melilla on Spanish Wikivoyage lately? To be strait, your first edition of メリリャ, here on jawv, is at the moment discussed for Deletion.
What your contribution is challenged is: our local rule says if an edit is doubtful that somebody copied and translated a page from non-Japanese wikivoyage, they have to add a template(*) on the page's talk page.(*= that template descrubed below) If not, then that edition need to be deleted and protect the original editors on the non-Japanese page. In short, our rule is based on Enlish wikivoyage.
The problem:
- To make things clearer, unfortunately, you have forgot to suggest that you started your メリリャ here on jawv, and it is based on the page Melilla on Spanish wikivoyage (eswv);
- as far as I guess, you are also the original contributor to Melilla at Spanish wikivoyage, wow 22 editions the latest on T17:10:11, 29th, November 2024:
- the Template: The ground rule here at jawv is very similar to enwv. Technically, how to declare your contribution is a translation/transliteration of non-Japanese wikivoyage goes:
I wish you will answer to my question here, or maybe at the RfD page at: Requested for Deletion page: メリリャ.
Again, welcome to Wikivoyage in Japanese language, and I wish your voyage here will be superb. Allow me to paste a welcome note, but starts in Japanese language.

- Hello Omotecho!
- I have indeed contributed to eswv and enwv. I am also doing translations into other languages. My goal is to make this destination known in the 27 languages available on Wikivoyage.
- Please tell me what I have to do to keep the page in Japanese. I am trying to translate it into Japanese with Artificial Intelligence.--Bojraif (トーク) 2024年12月5日 (木) 22:33 (UTC)
- I've put this code at the beginning of the article
この記事はスペイン語版ウィキボヤージュのMelillaから翻訳されました。 ( 29 Nov 2024 ) |
. Can I continue editing in Japanese or will the page be deleted? Can you help me translate it from the Spanish and English pages to Japanese?Regards--Bojraif (トーク) 2024年12月5日 (木) 22:42 (UTC)
- Thank you for your precise reply. Sorry my arms are not long enough to keep your input away from roll-back, and I am happy to assist you in translation. Just out of curiosity:
- Do you have any advice about what you find important about that destination?
- Such as, in your research, maybe some person, athlete, artist or company to bridge our cultures through Melilla?
- I will try and survey library databases to find sources, so that patrollers will enjoy reading that article (;
- One endemic token we share on Jawp;
- use "sandbox feature", check your input beforehand;
- and to a single article, make editing count smaller/less.
- I have to admit some users hunt for pages with many changes in 24 hours, as we are a very small group of editors. Maybe it is part of our (ja Wiki*m*edia) culture anyhow to love cleaner edit history to any article…
- Keep the good vibe, --Omo--Omotecho (トーク) 2024年12月6日 (金) 03:13 (UTC)
- And surely, you are welcome on ja wikivoyage. Ping me anytime and we will see to mend or tidy-up short comings or expand. That is what a voyage for! --Omo--Omotecho (トーク) 2024年12月6日 (金) 03:22 (UTC)
- The most important thing about this destination is old Melilla, a very well preserved walled citadel of more than 500 years, the museums, the beaches and the Hernandez Park, which is a very attractive botanical park. And above all the climate and the tranquility
- A famous athlete would be the tennis player Feliciano Lopez who learned to play tennis in Melilla
- An artist would be Fernando Arrabal, a famous writer born in Melilla.
- I am looking for a sandbox to add as tourist information about the city but I can't find any.
- I didn't know it was necessary to add sources like in Wikipedia. If so, I can add them
- If you see it necessary to copy the HTML code of the current page (almost finished) and make a new page with only 1 edition, you are free to do so. I am not looking for recognition, only that the destination is available in Japanese. I don't care who appears as the author.--Bojraif (トーク) 2024年12月6日 (金) 08:08 (UTC)

- Hello Bojraif!
- Let me add some information about the deletion request; The reason for the request is a copyvio problem: as you can read at Wikipedia:Derechos de autor, almost all Wikimedia projects including Wikivoyage are under CC BY-SA 4.0 which requires attribution indication to copy and redistribute contents. That means translation between Wikivoyage should be contributed with the original source indicated. This restriction is the same on Spanish Wikivoyage, so I will not go into more detail, but a revision without indicating the source need to be deleted.
- There are two main ways to indicate sources:
- Indicate a revision ID that identifies the original revision in the edit summary. A revision ID can be provided from URL of the page opened by clicking on the "固定リンク" link.
- e.g. "Translated from es:Melilla; revision ID: 219072", "Translated from revision 219072 on Spanish version" or something like that
- Indicate a timestamp of the latest version of the source page on the edit summary. You can get a timestamp by copying the date and time at the top of the history page; for example, at the time of writing this comment, the timestamp on es:Melilla is 10:51, 5 December 2024 (UTC) (the timezone and format may depend on user's preferences).
- e.g. "Translated from es:Melilla 10:51, 5 December 2024 (UTC)"
- Indicate a revision ID that identifies the original revision in the edit summary. A revision ID can be provided from URL of the page opened by clicking on the "固定リンク" link.
- Doing either/both of these each time will avoid copyright issues! Honestly this is annoying for active translators, but please cooperate to avoid problems.
- Ask me any questions if necessary :) Cheers to Wikivoyagers! --Tmv (会話) 2024年12月7日 (土) 05:05 (UTC)
- Thank you @Tmv, our head admin very acceptive of travelers.
- @Bojraif, about the resources: sorry for the confusion. The sources has nothing to do with the page content.
- I will post a thread to discuss further among the community, at 水茶屋 (日本語) (Red Lantern/Travelers' Pub on jawv), perhaps Overseas territories (skeleton) this afternoon. For your info: To sum up, I was thinking about how we will indicate that Melilla is an overseas location under Spanish administration.
- Good luck,--Omotecho (トーク) 2024年12月7日 (土) 06:19 (UTC)
Your username in red -> blue (tips)
編集Off topic: why don't you introduce yourself at your use page? That way, people will be able to ping you whenever they need your attention. At the moment, @Bojraif, or your name appears in red, meaning you have to check if ppl are talking to you or not /:
- To solve that, you will write something at your userpage and save.
- Then, just like my ping to @Tmv as an example, it will be in blue, (;.
- The trick is to changing your Preferences, at the top of any page on any language , you will receive notices that a message is on your userpage. Your In-box icon will have a number showing how many messages you have across Wikivoyages.
Good luck,--Omotecho (トーク) 2024年12月7日 (土) 06:44 (UTC)
